RICHARD CLAYDERMAN TO PERFORM IN SOFIA AND VARNA IN DECEMBER

26 May 2015, Sofia
In 2015, popular French pianist Richard Clayderman is performing once again for his Bulgarian fans. The famous artist is scheduled to perform in Sofia’s NPC Hall One on December 7 at 7:30PM. Two days earlier, he can be heard in Varna’s Culture and Sports Palace. Clayderman’s Sofia concert is presented by music company Cantus Firmus. The French pianist is to showcase a unique program, including popular classics, as well as some of his own works. He will be joined on stage by the Classic FM Radio Orchestra, his preferred orchestra for all concerts in Bulgaria. Tickets for this event range from 30 to 70 leva and are currently on sale at the NPC box-office, and online at TICKETSBG. Starting September 1, tickets can also be purchased at the Cantus Firmus box-office at Bulgaria Hall.
Richard Clayderman’s extensive concert career spans over 39 years, starting in 1976 with the recording of the famous “Ballade pour Adeline.” To-date, the French pianist has sold over 150 million records and has greatly contributed to the genre referred to as “popular classics.” His art appeals to a wide range of listeners, for whom he has adapted a large volume of classical music masterpieces.
Mr. Clayderman often states that he is not a classical pianist, performing for an elitist audience. He is a musician, whose art is popular among people everywhere. He prefers to entertain, rather than to represent strict classical music tradition.
Only days after his concert in Sofia, Richard Clayderman will be celebrating his 62nd birthday. His life continues to revolve around the stage. He performs over 100 concerts a year, and each and every one of them is a special experience for audiences around the world. Referred to as the “Prince of Romance” by Nancy Reagan, he has the ability to communicate with audiences and to create a unique ambiance, in which every listener has the opportunity to experience their own romantic dream. “My inspiration comes from traveling and meeting people all around the globe. They energize me and help me move forward. If I can keep on performing concerts for at least another 10 years, I will be a happy man. It’s that simple! I am able to maintain my high romantic spirits, because I love this music!” said Clyderman in an exclusive interview for his Bulgarian fans on Classic FM Radio.
