Mila Georgieva began playing the violin at the age of four and, before reaching her teens, she had already garnered an international reputation, winning top prizes at competitions in Italy, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria, touring Spain, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore, India, and China. Ms. Georgieva studied with Dorothy DeLay and Cho-Liang Lin at the Juilliard School in New York, and with Prof. Yfrah Neaman at the Guildhall School in London.
Ms. Georgieva has performed with the Gewandhaus Orchestra under Kurt Masur and Herbert Blomstedt, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra under Georges Prêtre, the Tonhalle Orchestra under Richard Hickox, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the orchestras of the Belgian and the Dutch Radio and Television.
Since the 2003–2004 season, Ms. Georgieva has served as Principal Concertmaster of the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra. She plays on a 1703 Stradivarius.
