Winner of the 2012 ECHO Rising Stars Award, charismatic young violinist Leticia Moreno recently completed a 20-concert tour through Europe´s leading concert halls linked to the ECHO prize. Recent career highlights include a debut with Zubin Mehta and the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, a personal invitation from Valery Gergiev to play Szymanowski’s Violin Concerto No.2 and an invite from Gustavo Dudamel to play the same concerto in Caracas in 2012 which she did to great acclaim with the Simon Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and Christian Vásquez.
Following a successful tour with the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Leticia received a reinvitation from Yuri Temirkanov, to close his 2014 St Petersburg season performing Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 (which she has released a recording of on Deutsche Grammophon). In summer 2014, she toured the UK and Italy with Maestro Temirkanov, performing Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky, as well as a very successful concert with Andrés Orozco Estrada and the hr-Sinfonieorchester as well as an a engagement with Andrey Boreyko in Monaco. In March 2015, she made a very successful US concerto debut with Christoph Eschenbach and Washington’s National Symphony Orchestra in Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole. Upcoming engagements include a tour of China with Esa-Pekka Salonen and the Mahler Chamber orchestra, as well as engagements with the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra among others.
