Dear audience,

Please be advised that the concert with Albena Danailova and the Classic FM Radio Orchestra, conducted by Grigor Palikarov, originally programmed for December 2, 2020 will be rescheduled for a later date, which will be announced accordingly. This concert is part of The Concertmasters concert series and is financed by the Sofia Municipality Cultural Program. The postponement comes as a result of the recently implemented strict anti-epidemic measures, in accordance with the Ministry of Health Order No. RD-01-677/25.11.2020. All purchased tickets can be returned at the Cantus Firmus box-office at Bulgaria Hall between 4 January and 22 January 2021.

All persons, who have purchased tickets through EPAYGO using a debit or credit card shall be reimbursed directly through their accounts. Those who have used EasyPay must visit the same EasyPay office where they initially purchased their ticket(s) in order to get reimbursed. This can be done as early as Wednesday, December 2, 2020 and no later than December 31, 2020.

Albena Danailova was born in Sofia as the daughter of a violinist and a pianist. At the age of five she began her musical education with Nely Jeleva and Dora Ivanova at the music school and academy in her home city. After graduation from high school, she studied violin performance at the College of Music and Theater in Rostock and in Hamburg with Petru Munteanu. She finished her degree in 2001, having augmented her studies by masterclasses with Ida Haendel, Herman Krebbers and others. In the same year she received an engagement as second violinist  in the Bavarian State Orchestra, advancing in 2003 to section leader of the first violins and in 2006 to first concertmaster. In this same capacity, she also served in the London Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2003/04 season. On September 1, 2008, she became the concertmaster of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra.
