The Dalia Quartet brings together four established musicians, each with diverse backgrounds as soloists, orchestral and chamber musicians. The Dalia Quartet was born out of their desire to explore the string quartet repertoire in depth, and to share its extraordinary complexity and unique intimacy with audiences.
Its members have thriving careers in the orchestral world as members of Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Camerata Bern, Da Camera and the Dortmunder Philarmoniker.
As a testament to the enthusiastic response to their initial concerts in Barcelona and Cervera in 2014, the Dalia Quartet was quickly invited to perform in distiguished festivals and halls such as the Schubertíada in Vilabertran, Enclave de Cámera de Orense and l’Auditori in Barcelon. In addition to their continuing residency at the Teatre de Sarrià (Barcelona), upcoming performances include debuts in the Petit Palau (Barcelona), Auditori de Girona presented by Ibercàmera, Fundación Juan March (Madrid), Sociedad Filarmónica de Bilbao and in Sofia (Bulgaria).

Dalia Quartet’s concert in Sofia is part of the Instituto Cervantes Project “Europe”, the Spanish National Centre for Music Distribution (CNDM) and the Spanish National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), whose goal is to introduce Spanish chamber music to a wider European audience. This project is being realized in Sofia after its successful presentations in Munich, Vienna, and Bucharest.
