The Sofia Chamber Choir is an outstanding representative of the Bulgarian choral art. Founded in 1966, it has gained wide popularity and prestige both at home and abroad. Known as Lyubomir Pipkov Choir from 1976 until 1991, it was later renamed after its late conductor Prof. Vassil Arnaoudov (1933-1991).

Vassil Arnaoudov Sofia Chamber Choir has an impressive and busy concert life locally and internationally. It has repeatedly performed throughout Europe and Japan. A regular participant in prestigious music events, it has twice been awarded the Grand Prix of “Let the Peoples Sing” International Competition of BBC, London. The choir is holder of 14 First and 7 Special Prizes at many famous European competitions.
